Arsenal's Premier League title hopes took another hit as they were beaten 2-1 by Fulham at Craven Cottage on New Year's Eve. The Gunners took the lead early on through Bukayo Saka, but their porous defence allowed Raul Jimenez to equalise just before the half-hour mark. Fulham secured all three points in the second half when Bobby Decordova-Reid fired home from a promising position. It was another disappointing performance from Arsenal, who failed to register a shot on target in the second half, and their title challenge is slowly slipping away. Just two points separate them from leaders Liverpool, who have a game in hand, and they could fall further behind if Manchester City win their game in hand too.
