Two Arrested in Separate Atlantic City Shootings

Atlantic City police reported two separate shooting incidents. In the first, Ronald Rivers, 55, was arrested within 20 minutes after allegedly shooting 41-year-old Robert Phillips multiple times in the Ocean Casino Resort parking garage; Phillips is in critical condition and Rivers faces charges including attempted murder and possession of a stolen handgun. Police described the casino shooting as an isolated incident and praised the rapid, coordinated response. In a separate case, Kelsey Smith, 37, was arrested and charged with murder and unlawful possession of a weapon for the fatal June 26 shooting of Robert Stanley Davis, 40, who was found dead outside Shore Park High Rise Apartments. Smith remains in custody at the Atlantic County Justice Facility. Authorities continue to seek public assistance for information related to both cases.
