All children injured in the Southport knife attack on July 29 have been discharged from the hospital, Merseyside Police confirmed. The attack, which took place at a Taylor Swift-themed holiday club, resulted in the deaths of three young girls and serious injuries to ten others, including two adults. The last remaining injured child was released from Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital earlier today. Yoga teacher Leanne Lucas, who shielded two girls during the attack, and Jonathan Hayes, who was also wounded while trying to help, are among those who were severely injured. Axel Muganwa Rudakubana has been charged with three counts of murder and ten counts of attempted murder. The violent incident has deeply affected the local community, with police officers also reporting trauma from the events and subsequent disorder.
