‘Legally Blonde’ Prequel Series 'Elle' Enters Production

Amazon MGM Studios has officially announced the production of 'Elle,' a prequel series to the 'Legally Blonde' franchise, focusing on Elle Woods' high school years. Reese Witherspoon, who portrayed Elle in the original films, revealed that Lexi Minetree will take on the role of young Elle, sharing the news via Instagram. The series, created by Laura Kittrell and directed by Jason Moore, aims to explore the experiences that shaped Elle into the beloved character known from the films. Additional cast members include June Diane Raphael and Tom Everett Scott as Elle's parents, along with Chandler Kinney, Gabrielle Policano, and Jacob Moskovitz in supporting roles. Filming is currently underway, with the first look showcasing a nostalgic aesthetic reminiscent of the 90s. Witherspoon's production company, Hello Sunshine, is collaborating with Amazon for this highly anticipated project.
