South Korea, Poland Affirm Defense Cooperation Amid Political Turmoil

During a recent visit to Poland, Cho Hyun-ki, a senior official from South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), reaffirmed the country's commitment to defense cooperation with Poland, emphasizing that domestic political changes in South Korea would not disrupt this partnership. The discussions included ongoing agreements on the supply of K-2 tanks, K-9 howitzers, and FA-50 aircraft, with a focus on finalizing a follow-up contract for tank supplies. Meanwhile, Polish and Ukrainian defense industries are deepening their collaboration, highlighted by the signing of two agreements between Poland's Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa and Ukrainian defense companies, aimed at enhancing industrial cooperation and ammunition production. These developments come at a time when Ukraine seeks to bolster its defense capabilities amid ongoing conflict, emphasizing the importance of Poland's support in this endeavor.
