Nine-Year-Old Girl Raped in Nagpur

A nine-year-old girl was raped in Nagpur's Pardi area on Sunday afternoon while her younger sister was present. The unidentified assailant allegedly offered the five-year-old sister Rs 20 to remain silent about the incident. The girls were home alone as their parents, both daily wage workers, were at work. The family recently moved back to Nagpur from Gondia three months prior. The crime was reported after the victim disclosed it to her parents, who then rushed her to the police station, where a medical examination confirmed the rape. Investigators are currently searching for the suspect, described by the younger sister as a Marathi-speaking man with a 'tilak' on his forehead, who may have known the family's schedule.
