Two Fatal Marine Accidents in Australia

Two separate incidents involving marine accidents in Australia have resulted in fatalities and hospitalizations. In South Australia, a boat capsized near Point Connor on the Limestone Coast, leading to the deaths of two men aged 82 and 69, while a 59-year-old woman was hospitalized. In Far North Queensland, a jet ski accident on the Barron River resulted in the death of a 56-year-old man after colliding with mangroves, and his 60-year-old female companion was hospitalized with critical injuries. Queensland Police's Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the jet ski incident and preparing a report for the coroner. Both individuals involved in the jet ski accident were from Brinsmead in Cairns, and the boat ramp remains closed during the investigation.
