Sphere Hosts Halloween Costume Parties For Wizard of Oz Showings in Las Vegas

Sphere in Las Vegas is hosting a special Halloween celebration for its immersive presentation of The Wizard of Oz, inviting guests of all ages to attend in costume for three showings on October 30 and 31. The event features a "Yellow Brick Carpet" entrance and themed treats, though costume masks and props that obscure the face are prohibited to comply with venue policies. This immersive experience uses Sphere's advanced 16K screen and sensory effects like lighting, wind, and indoor precipitation to make audiences feel as though they are traveling through the Land of Oz alongside Dorothy and her friends. Tickets start at $104 and the show has attracted large audiences, reportedly generating up to $2 million daily. Bill Walshe, Sphere's Executive Vice President and Global Head of Venue Operations and Development, emphasizes that the Halloween event extends the magic to the audience, encouraging fans to showcase their costumes. The show is currently the only production running at Sphere, with multiple daily showtimes through the end of the year.
