Mass Shooting Kills 2, Injures 13 in Robeson County

A shooting at a large weekend party in rural Robeson County outside Maxton, N.C., killed two people and wounded 13 others, several critically. The shooting occurred before 3 a.m. in the area of Dixon Road and McGirt Gin Road; more than 150 attendees fled before officers arrived. Robeson County Sheriff Burnis Wilkins’ office said homicide investigators and multiple agencies are probing the incident, described it as isolated and said there is no ongoing threat.
