Trial Dates Set for Multiple Murder Cases in UK

Joseph Smith, 39, is set to stand trial for the manslaughter of Daniel Illingworth, who died following an assault on Bridge Street in Keighley on March 7. Smith pleaded not guilty during his recent court appearance, with the trial scheduled to begin on August 4 and expected to last five days. He was remanded in custody and will have a case management hearing on July 15. The inquest into Illingworth's death indicated the cause was blunt force head trauma, with further investigations pending. Separately, Alfie Franco, 20, faces trial in October for the murder of 16-year-old Ahmad Mamdouh Al Ibrahim in Huddersfield, who died from a stab wound during a verbal altercation. Franco has been remanded in custody and will appear for plea and trial preparation on May 7.
