Porsche Adds 97,000 US EV Charging Stations to Service

Porsche Cars North America has significantly expanded its electric vehicle charging infrastructure by integrating over 97,000 additional charging stations into its Porsche Charging Service, bringing the total to 102,000 stations accessible in the U.S. This expansion enhances the My Porsche app as a comprehensive tool for drivers to find, use, and pay at most J1772 and CCS charging stations, including networks such as ChargePoint, EV Connect, EVgo, Flo, EvGateway, and Ionna, alongside Electrify America. The integration offers immediate access to customers within the Porsche Charging Service inclusive period and Premium plan users, with Base plan customers gaining access later in the summer. Porsche's CEO, Timo Resch, emphasized that this milestone reflects Porsche's commitment to providing flexibility, choice, and a seamless charging experience to support the growing number of electrified Porsche vehicles. The partnership with ChargePoint, a major North American EV charging provider, is a strategic move to alleviate range anxiety and foster a robust charging ecosystem that complements Porsche’s electric vehicle offerings. Further expansions of the charging network are planned for 2025 to continue bolstering Porsche's electric vehicle infrastructure.
