Greece's Miltiadis Tentoglou secured his second consecutive Olympic gold in the men's long jump with a leap of 8.48 meters at the Paris 2024 Games. Jamaica's Wayne Pinnock won silver with 8.36 meters, while Italy's Mattia Furlani claimed bronze with 8.34 meters. Tentoglou is only the second man to retain his long jump title after Carl Lewis. The Greek champion entered the competition in remarkable form, having won most of his previous events this season. Elsewhere, Noah Lyles won the 100 meters in a photo finish, clocking 9.79 seconds and celebrating his victory with exuberant trackside celebrations.
