The Kerala cyber police apprehended Jeb Stephen Raj, an admin of the notorious Tamil Rockers group, for recording the film in a Thiruvananthapuram theater using a phone hidden in a cup holder. Raj, who allegedly received payments for uploading pirated content, is also linked to other recent film piracy incidents. Investigators are examining his phone and pursuing leads to identify the operators behind Tamil Rockers, which has persisted despite previous efforts to block its activities. The arrests come after complaints from film producers, highlighting ongoing concerns over piracy in the South Indian film industry. Tamil Rockers, infamous for distributing camcorder copies of films, continues to pose a significant challenge to filmmakers despite legal actions against it.
