World No 2 Nelly Korda Withdraws From International Crown Due To Injury
Nelly Korda, the World No. 2 and top American golfer, has withdrawn from the Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown due to injury concerns. Despite a strong 2024 season, Korda has struggled in 2025, dealing with lingering injuries including neck spasms and the aftermath of a dog bite last year. She cited her body being "definitely worn down" and the need to be as close to 100% fitness as possible for competition as reasons for her withdrawal. Korda will be replaced by Yealimi Noh, joining Angel Yin, Lauren Coughlin, and Lilia Vu for Team USA. Thailand's Patty Tavatanakit also withdrew and will be replaced by Pajaree Anannarukarn. The International Crown, a biennial team match-play event featuring top female golfers, will be held October 23-26 at New Korea Country Club in South Korea.
