Albies Plans Return Before Season End

Atlanta Braves second baseman Ozzie Albies plans to return to the lineup before the end of the regular season, despite a fractured left wrist that has sidelined him since July 21. Albies, 27, will bat exclusively right-handed due to ongoing discomfort when swinging from the left side. Braves manager Brian Snitker expressed uncertainty about Albies' return, but Albies is confident and believes he can play after possibly just one rehab game. His right-handed performance has historically been strong, with a .947 OPS compared to .738 from the left side. The Braves, currently fighting for a playoff spot, have relied on veteran Whit Merrifield at second base in Albies' absence.
