Liverpool Preparing January Bid for Antoine Semenyo

Liverpool are reportedly preparing a January bid for Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, who is also being tracked by Tottenham and Manchester United. Semenyo, the Ghana international, scored 11 goals with five assists in 2024/25 and has begun 2025/26 with around six league goals and multiple assists, and is being viewed as a potential long-term successor to Mohamed Salah amid concerns over Salah’s dip in form. Ghana failed to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations, meaning Semenyo would be available during the festive period while Salah is expected to be on international duty with Egypt. Semenyo’s new Bournemouth contract is said to contain a release clause and the club has been linked to a roughly £75m valuation, prompting belief his availability could be forced if the clause is triggered, though Bournemouth are likely to resist a mid-season sale. Liverpool retain transfer headroom despite heavy summer spending, making a January approach plausible if they decide to pursue an immediate forward upgrade.
