Serge Bobrovsky Reaches 400 Career Wins
Sergei Bobrovsky achieved his 400th career win by making 24 saves as the Florida Panthers defeated the New York Rangers 3-1 at Madison Square Garden. Bobrovsky's milestone makes him the 14th goaltender in NHL history to reach this mark and the fastest to do so, accomplishing it in 707 games, surpassing Henrik Lundqvist's previous record of 727 games. The Panthers took an early lead with goals from Anton Lundell and Carter Verhaeghe, before Sam Bennett extended the lead in the second period. Alexis Lafreniere scored for the Rangers, who suffered their first regulation loss after a strong start of 5-0-1. Bobrovsky's career record now stands at 400-226-56, and he is currently second in wins among active goaltenders behind Marc-Andre Fleury. The Panthers continue their road trip against the Islanders on Saturday.
