Canadian electronic duo Purity Ring, consisting of Megan James and Corin Roddick, have released a new two-part single titled "many lives" and "part ii" via their independent label, the fellowship. The tracks mark a new era for the duo, described by them as the "epicenter" of their recent work, embodying both a feeling of darkness and possibility. "many lives" features a rich, digital soundscape with breakbeats and haunting vocals, while "part ii" offers a contrasting moment of stillness centered on classical guitar.
