FBI arrests 2 suspects in pro athlete burglaries linked to Diamond District raid

Dimitriy Nezhinskiy and Juan Villar, operating a pawn shop, are accused of running a fencing operation tied to a South American theft group. Investigators are examining links between these individuals and a larger network implicated in stealing from numerous wealthy athletes, including NFL stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. In addition to the arrests in New York, further arrests related to this theft group are anticipated in Florida. Law enforcement officials noted that these burglaries often occurred while athletes were away for games, prompting security alerts from the NFL and NBA.
