Abhinav Bindra Praises Indian Shooters at Paris Olympics

Abhinav Bindra, India's only Olympic gold medallist in shooting, praised the performance of Indian shooters at the Paris 2024 Olympics, where they secured three medals, contributing to a total of six for the country. Manu Bhaker made history by becoming the first Indian athlete post-Independence to win two medals in a single Olympic edition, earning bronze in both the women's 10m Air Pistol and mixed team events with Sarabjot Singh. Swapnil Kusale also clinched bronze in the men's 50m Rifle Three Positions event. While Bindra expressed a desire for more conversions of close finishes into medals, he emphasized the overall improvement in India's shooting performance compared to previous Olympics. He commended Bhaker for her resilience and ability to bounce back after past disappointments. Bindra noted the significance of teamwork, particularly her collaboration with coach Jaspal Rana, in achieving success.
