Rishi Sunak Rejoins Goldman Sachs as Adviser
Former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has rejoined Goldman Sachs as a senior adviser, following his resignation as Conservative Party leader after the July 2024 general election. Sunak, who previously worked at Goldman Sachs as a summer intern and junior analyst, will advise clients on macroeconomic and geopolitical matters and participate in the firm's learning and development initiatives. Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon praised Sunak’s return and his experience as prime minister. Sunak has pledged to donate his compensation from Goldman Sachs to the Richmond Project, a UK numeracy charity he co-founded. He has also taken up academic positions at the University of Oxford and Stanford University. Despite these new roles, Sunak plans to continue serving as MP for Richmond and Northallerton from the backbenches.
