Elton John Reveals Vision Loss at Gala

Elton John has disclosed that he has lost his eyesight due to a severe infection, an ordeal he revealed during a gala performance of 'The Devil Wears Prada: The Musical' in London. The 77-year-old musician stated, "I haven’t been able to come to many of the previews because, as you know, I have lost my eyesight," while expressing appreciation for the music he could hear. John, who wrote the score for the musical, explained that he has been dealing with limited vision in one eye since July and is undergoing a slow healing process. He credited his husband, David Furnish, for being a supportive presence throughout his health struggles. Despite his challenges, John remains optimistic about his recovery and has been spending time recuperating at home. The gala, which benefited the Elton John AIDS Foundation, was attended by notable figures from the fashion industry.
