WWE Legend Leilani Kai Signs New Deal After Hip Surgery Support
WWE legend Leilani Kai, a prominent figure from the 1980s women's division and former WWE Women’s Champion and Women’s Tag Team Champion, has signed a new Legends Contract with WWE. Her return was prompted after she underwent hip surgery, during which WWE reached out to offer assistance with her medical bills and subsequently invited her to rejoin the WWE family, a gesture reflecting the company’s increased respect and care for its legends under Triple H’s leadership. Kai expressed surprise at the offer, which came through an assistant to Triple H named Ben Brown, and is now part of WWE’s efforts to honor and involve past performers. Though retired from in-ring competition, Kai's experience is expected to be an asset to WWE, potentially in roles such as coaching for NXT. Her recent appearances at WWE events like Saturday Night’s Main Event and NXT shows have marked her renewed presence within the company. This move underscores WWE's ongoing commitment to maintaining strong ties with its veteran talent and integrating them into current programming and backstage roles.
