Broncos Likely To Keep Surtain Off IR

Denver Broncos cornerback Patrick Surtain II was diagnosed with a left pectoral strain after his Week 8 injury; he does not require surgery and will seek a second opinion. Head coach Sean Payton declined to confirm an IR move, and multiple reports indicate the team does not plan to place Surtain on injured reserve; he could miss roughly 3–6 weeks — possibly only three games — with a potential return after the Week 12 bye (around Week 13 vs. Washington).
