Air Liquide Agrees to Acquire South Korea DIG Airgas for $3.3 Billion
French industrial gases company Air Liquide has agreed to acquire South Korea's DIG Airgas for an enterprise value of €2.85 billion ($3.3 billion) as part of its strategic expansion into Asia. The deal, made with Macquarie Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Fund 2, includes DIG Airgas' extensive portfolio of 60 plants and 220 kilometers of pipeline networks, serving major industrial basins and key sectors such as electronics and Korean industrial leaders. The acquisition is subject to regulatory approval in South Korea and is expected to close in the first half of 2026. This move strengthens Air Liquide's presence in a critical market and enhances its industrial gas supply capabilities across various industries in South Korea.
