Lane County Arrests Three Teens for Double Homicide

Three suspects, including two teenagers and one adult, were arrested in connection with the double homicide of an adult man and a teenage girl found southeast of Oakridge, Oregon. The victims died due to homicidal violence, according to the Lane County Sheriff's Office. The arrests followed a tip and subsequent police operation in Eugene, with two suspects detained near 7th Avenue and Monroe Street by SWAT and a third at a residence on Irving Road. The 16-year-old male faces multiple charges including two counts of first-degree murder, strangulation, and unlawful use of a firearm, while the 15-year-old female was charged with first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse. The 19-year-old adult, Hunter Jesse Kip Barnett, was charged with second-degree abuse of a corpse. Authorities confirmed there are no additional suspects and no ongoing danger to the public, urging anyone with information to contact the Lane County Sheriff's Office.
