Johnny Depp Opens London Exhibition Honoring Ex-Wife, Children

Johnny Depp is unveiling a new art collection titled "Let the Light In" at Castle Fine Art in London, featuring limited-edition prints of two deeply personal paintings originally created in the early 2000s. The collection includes a self-portrait called "Add the Light" and a painting titled "A Rose Is a Rose Is a Rose," a tribute to his daughter Lily-Rose, whom he painted a rose for every Valentine's Day during her childhood. These works reflect a poignant and cherished period in Depp's life when he lived with his then-partner Vanessa Paradis and their children at Le Hameau in the South of France. Depp described the self-portrait as representing his experience at the time, emphasizing the act of adding light amid obscurity, while the rose painting symbolizes parental love and protection. Despite their separation in 2012, Depp continues to honor Paradis and their family through his art, highlighting a softer, more introspective side beyond his public persona. The prints will be available for purchase starting July 18, with options for framed and unframed editions.
