He acknowledged that while he was presented with opportunities, he was often either too busy or uncomfortable with the roles, such as one where he would have played a 'premature ejaculator.' Broderick expressed that the show was primarily Sarah Jessica Parker's, and he felt it would have been 'stunting' for him to participate. Despite these reasons, he stated he loved the show and would have been delighted to join, but it just never aligned. The couple has been married since 1997, the year before the show's debut, and Parker continues to star in the sequel series 'And Just Like That...,' which is currently in production for its third season.
