Egypt is facing a shortfall in natural gas supply, leading to factory shutdowns and increased energy demand driven by soaring temperatures. Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly highlighted plans to import over $1 billion worth of natural gas and diesel to stabilize electricity supply amidst rising demand and climatic challenges. The country is arranging for LNG shipments and forming consortia to ensure sufficient energy supply, emphasizing proactive measures to bolster national energy security and resilience.
