Sundance 2027 Host City Finalists Announced

The Sundance Institute announced six finalist cities to potentially host the Sundance Film Festival starting in 2027 after its contract with Park City and Salt Lake City, Utah expires. The finalists include Atlanta, Boulder, Cincinnati, Louisville, Santa Fe, and the current hosts, Park City and Salt Lake City. Savannah, Georgia, which was a contender, did not make the final list. The selection committee will evaluate these cities based on their infrastructure, event capabilities, logistics, and alignment with Sundance's values. Site visits are planned, with a final decision expected by late 2024 or early 2025. Hosting the festival is anticipated to bring significant economic and cultural benefits to the chosen city.
