Stroud Returns Healthy, Texans Eye Another AFC Title
Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud returned to throw without limitations at mandatory minicamp after missing early OTAs due to shoulder soreness, which he and head coach DeMeco Ryans downplayed as minor. Stroud attributed the soreness to an aggressive offseason regimen and confirmed no surgery or significant treatment was required. Despite experiencing a statistical regression in his second NFL season, Stroud guided the Texans to their second straight AFC South title and a playoff win, even with key receivers Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell sidelined by season-ending injuries. The Texans have further strengthened their offense by adding running back Nick Chubb and other new weapons for the 2025 season. With Stroud healthy and the roster improved, expectations are high for another strong campaign in the AFC South.
