Cork Charity Prepares 1,200 Christmas Dinners

On Christmas Day, Cork Penny Dinners volunteers prepared over 1,200 meals for those in need, with the Lord Mayor of Cork joining in the effort. Caitríona Twomey, the volunteer co-ordinator, expressed pride in the smiles of those receiving meals, highlighting the importance of community support. Meanwhile, Paul and Robin Green showcased their beautifully decorated Thornblade home, blending Southern and British influences, with seven Christmas trees enhancing the festive atmosphere. Lastly, chef Phil Vickery provided tips for elevating traditional Christmas dishes, focusing on perfecting trimmings like roast potatoes and Brussels sprouts.
