Cold Chisel Releases Live Album, DVD for 50th Anniversary Tour

Australian rock band Cold Chisel is celebrating their 50th anniversary with the release of a live album, vinyl, CD, DVD, and Blu-Ray capturing their sold-out 'Big Five-0' tour across Australia and New Zealand, which drew over 250,000 fans. The live recordings primarily come from their standout performance at Melbourne’s Sidney Myer Music Bowl on November 23, 2024, featuring 24 songs and three bonus tracks recorded at the previous night's show. The album, available in multiple vinyl editions including a JB Hi-Fi exclusive and a limited-edition picture disc, will be released on August 8, 2025. Accompanying the live album is a 90-minute documentary directed by Andrew Lord and produced by Paul Clarke, offering behind-the-scenes footage, interviews with all band members, rare photographs, and additional live tracks from the tour. Frontman Jimmy Barnes described the Melbourne show as a “blistering and joyous performance” with the crowd singing so loudly it nearly drowned out the band. This milestone release underscores Cold Chisel's enduring popularity and multi-generational appeal, highlighting their legacy and continued influence in rock music.
