Maryland, Alabama Launch Leadership Programs for Students

The Maryland Made Leadership Academy has announced its 2025 cohort, consisting of 34 student-athletes from various sports, aimed at enhancing leadership skills through a comprehensive five-week program. Similarly, the Leaders to Legends program in Tuscaloosa County invites high school sophomores to apply, focusing on character development and community outreach through monthly hands-on sessions and mentorship from local leaders. This initiative, a collaboration among several local organizations, aims to prepare students for leadership roles in their schools and communities. In Michigan, Henry Ford II High School's Associate Principal, Anthony Tocco, has been selected for an 18-month fellowship designed to cultivate equity-minded school leaders committed to improving educational access for all students. These programs collectively emphasize the importance of leadership training for youth, highlighting diverse pathways for personal and professional growth. Each initiative reflects a commitment to fostering the next generation of leaders across different educational settings.
