Steelers Sign Robert Woods, Add Undrafted Free Agents
The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed veteran wide receiver Robert Woods to a one-year, $2 million contract to bring experience and leadership to their receiving corps, which recently added DK Metcalf and is facing trade rumors involving George Pickens. This move comes as the team addresses ongoing uncertainty at the quarterback position after drafting Ohio State QB Will Howard and with the Aaron Rodgers situation still unresolved. In addition to Woods, the Steelers signed undrafted free agents Ke'Shawn Williams (Indiana), Roc Taylor (Memphis), JJ Galbreath (South Dakota), and DJ Thomas-Jones (South Alabama) to strengthen depth at wide receiver and tight end. The team's signings reflect a broader effort to increase competition and roster depth, particularly at skill positions. Elsewhere in the NFL, the Kansas City Chiefs have also targeted undrafted free agents, and speculation continues that Browns running back Nick Chubb could soon join an NFC North team.
