As part of efforts to enhance safety, Indian Railways is installing fencing along tracks to prevent cattle-related accidents, particularly on busy routes. Additionally, special train services have been introduced for the Ganpati Festival, with Western Railway running 56 trips to accommodate increased passenger demand. Indian Railways is also operating special trains for the annual Velankanni feast and other festivals, including Diwali and Chhat, to manage seasonal travel surges. These initiatives reflect the Railways' commitment to improving connectivity and passenger experience. The ongoing enhancements in rail infrastructure are expected to significantly boost regional economic development.
