Audrey Hepburn, Marc Bolan to receive blue plaques in London

English Heritage has announced a new set of blue plaques to honor cultural icons in London, with notable figures including Audrey Hepburn and Marc Bolan among those recognized for their contributions. Hepburn, who will receive a plaque in Mayfair, is celebrated for her transition from ballet to acting and her Oscar-winning role in 'Roman Holiday'. Bolan, the glam rock legend, will be commemorated at one of his west London addresses, recognized for his influence in the 1970s music scene. Other honorees include novelist Barbara Pym, ballerina Alicia Markova, artist Graham Sutherland, and Jamaican writer Una Marson, the first black female producer at the BBC. English Heritage's curatorial director highlighted the significance of these figures in shaping London's cultural landscape. The plaques are scheduled to be installed throughout 2025.
