Microsoft Partners with Yotta to Boost AI Adoption across India

Microsoft has partnered with India's Yotta Data Services to integrate Azure AI capabilities into Yotta's Shakti Cloud platform, aiming to accelerate AI adoption across India and support the IndiaAI Mission. This collaboration provides Indian startups, enterprises, government agencies, and research institutions with access to advanced AI models, including large and small language models, through Azure AI Foundry, combined with Yotta’s sovereign cloud infrastructure hosted entirely in India. The partnership emphasizes low-latency, secure AI infrastructure that benefits sectors such as healthcare, finance, agriculture, retail, and manufacturing, enabling real-time AI inferencing and faster model training. Both companies highlight the importance of responsible AI development by incorporating built-in safety tools, content filters, copyright protection, and groundedness detection, aligned with Microsoft's commitment to trustworthy AI prioritizing security, privacy, and safety. The initiative supports over 500 indigenous AI model proposals submitted under the IndiaAI Mission, reflecting a push toward AI self-reliance and digital transformation in India. Microsoft and Yotta's joint efforts also involve collaboration with government bodies, IITs, and startups to foster homegrown innovation and align AI capabilities with India's Digital Public Infrastructure.
