DOGE Recovers $1.9 Billion in Housing Funds Misplaced by Biden Administration

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), led by Elon Musk, has announced the recovery of $1.9 billion in funds that were reportedly misplaced by the Biden administration, specifically earmarked for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This announcement coincides with the launch of a DOGE task force at HUD, aimed at identifying and eliminating wasteful spending. HUD Secretary Scott Turner stated that the funds were no longer needed and emphasized a commitment to being detailed and deliberate with taxpayer dollars. Prior to this discovery, Turner mentioned that his agency had already identified $260 million in savings.
