Rick Nash Promoted to Director of Hockey Operations

Rick Nash, a former star forward and franchise leader in goals and assists for the Columbus Blue Jackets, has been promoted to Director of Hockey Operations. Nash, who joined the Blue Jackets' front office in 2019, has steadily advanced through various roles, including director of player development. General Manager Don Waddell praised Nash for his intelligence and passion for the team and community. The Blue Jackets also announced the hiring of Zach Abdou as senior manager of hockey operations and Basil McRae as director of pro scouting. Nash, a five-time All-Star and former team captain, will continue to play a significant role in player development and overall hockey operations.
