NHC Monitors Multiple Tropical Waves for Development

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is currently monitoring three tropical waves in the Atlantic and Caribbean, each with varying chances of developing into tropical depressions. Two of these waves, located in the eastern Atlantic and the Caribbean Sea, each have a 40% chance of development over the next seven days. The third wave, situated between Africa and the Lesser Antilles, faces unfavorable conditions and has a lower development chance. Additionally, a broad disturbance off the Gulf Coast of Texas and Louisiana is being monitored, with a 20% chance of development over the next week, but it is expected to bring heavy rains and potential flash flooding regardless of further tropical development.
