Georgia Man Sentenced to 20 Years for Home Bombing, Python Plot

Stephen Glosser, a 38-year-old man from Georgia, has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to charges related to a violent plot against a woman, which included bombing her home and conspiring to release a python to harm her daughter. The U.S. Attorney's Office reported that Glosser's plan involved various methods of intimidation and violence, including shooting arrows at the victim's door and mailing dead animals to her home. Glosser, along with co-defendant Caleb Kinsey, tracked the victim's location using internet searches and constructed an explosive device that was detonated at her residence in January 2023. He was ordered to pay over $507,000 in restitution and will serve three years of supervised release following his prison term. Acting U.S. Attorney Tara Lyons highlighted the extreme nature of the violence and commended the investigative efforts of law enforcement. Kinsey is currently awaiting prosecution on unrelated charges.
