Michigan Man Charged Holding Woman Captive Week, Sexual Assault

The suspect reportedly used a weapon to threaten the woman during the captivity. The woman managed to escape and contacted police, who found evidence supporting her account and arrested Thompson. He faces charges including first-degree criminal sexual conduct, unlawful imprisonment, carrying a dangerous weapon with unlawful intent, carrying a concealed weapon, and felonious assault with a dangerous weapon. Thompson was arraigned and is being held on a $1 million bond, with a probable cause conference scheduled. If convicted, he could face life imprisonment.
