WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes has been officially cast as Guile in the upcoming live-action Street Fighter movie, joining a star-studded cast that includes Roman Reigns as Akuma, Jason Momoa as Blanka, and 50 Cent as Balrog. A first behind-the-scenes glimpse shared by actor and comedian Andrew Schulz reveals Rhodes sporting Guile's iconic flat-top hairstyle and camouflage pants, embracing the character's distinctive video game look. The film, directed by Kitao Sakurai with a screenplay by Dalan Musson, features other notable cast members such as Andrew Koji as Ryu, Noah Centineo as Ken, and Callina Liang as Chun-Li. The story centers on Guile, a U.S. Air Force major known for his Sonic Boom and Flash Kick moves, fighting to honor his fallen friend and seek justice. Filming is underway, leading Rhodes and Reigns to be temporarily written off WWE television to focus on their roles. The Street Fighter movie aims to capture the spirit of the beloved fighting franchise, which has sold over 49 million units worldwide, with a release date currently set for 2026.
