Netflix Renews David Letterman Interview Series Through Season 7

Netflix has renewed David Letterman's Emmy-winning interview series, 'My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman,' for two additional seasons, extending the show through its seventh season. The sixth season is set to premiere later this year, though specific dates and guest lineups have not yet been announced. Since its debut in 2018 with then-President Barack Obama as the inaugural guest, the series has featured a diverse range of high-profile personalities, including Tina Fey, Robert Downey Jr., Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Malala Yousafzai, and Caitlin Clark. The show has been praised for its intimate, long-form interview style and unique format that often includes off-set excursions, distinguishing it from typical late-night talk shows. It won the Emmy in 2024 for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special and has received six nominations from the TV Academy. The series is produced by Jax Media/Imagine Entertainment and Letterman’s Worldwide Pants, with multiple executive producers overseeing the project.
