Josh Brolin Joins Cast of The Running Man

Josh Brolin has officially joined the cast of the upcoming reboot of Stephen King's dystopian novel The Running Man, directed by Edgar Wright. At New York Comic Con, Brolin announced that he will portray the villain, a ruthless producer of the deadly reality show in which the protagonist, Ben Richards, played by Glen Powell, competes. The film, set in a near-future America under a totalitarian regime, follows Richards as he fights for survival against government-sanctioned hunters to earn money for his sick daughter. Alongside Brolin and Powell, the cast includes Katy O'Brian and Daniel Ezra, with filming expected to begin in London early next year. The film is scheduled for release on November 21, 2025, and aims to offer a fresh take on the story previously adapted in 1987 starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
