England fast bowler Saqib Mahmood has finally received his visa for the upcoming limited-overs series in India, allowing him to join his teammates in Kolkata for the first T20I on January 22. The 27-year-old, who has faced visa delays in the past due to his Pakistani heritage, missed a training camp in the UAE while awaiting the necessary paperwork. His teammates Adil Rashid and Rehan Ahmed received their visas earlier, highlighting ongoing challenges for players of similar backgrounds. Mahmood's return comes after he successfully overcame consecutive lower-back stress fractures and was named Player of the Series during England's recent T20I series against the West Indies. The series in India consists of five T20Is and three ODIs, serving as crucial preparation for the upcoming Champions Trophy. England's pace attack will be bolstered by Mahmood alongside other fast bowlers like Jofra Archer and Mark Wood.
