Ayo Edebiri, Don Cheadle Plan Broadway Debuts in Pulitzer-Winning Proof Revival

Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle will make their Broadway debuts in the first revival of David Auburn's Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play "Proof" in spring 2026, with previews starting March 31 and an opening night on April 16 at the Shubert Theatre. The drama centers on Catherine (Edebiri), a mathematician grappling with her father's death and mental health struggles, and her father Robert (Cheadle), a brilliant but troubled math professor whose legacy includes a potentially groundbreaking mathematical proof.
