Tommy Rowe, a former Manchester United academy player, has officially rejoined the club as a player-coach for the Under-21 team, two decades after leaving in 2003. Rowe, who has accumulated over 500 appearances in the EFL, most recently played for Doncaster Rovers before taking part in a pre-season trial with United's under-21s. His signing comes as the club looks to fill the void left by Tom Huddlestone, who departed after two years in the same role. Rowe is expected to play in matches as one of five permitted over-age players and will contribute to the development of younger players through coaching.
