Fort Wayne shooting

A 16-year-old suspect has been charged with murder and attempted robbery following the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Angel Maldonado in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The suspect, whose name has not been released, is currently held at the Allen County Juvenile Center and may be tried as an adult. In a separate incident, Fort Worth police revealed that Brant Nickell, 58, died from a self-inflicted gunshot after a mental health call, prompting police chief Neil Noakes to urge those struggling with mental health issues to seek help. Meanwhile, in Grand Prairie, Texas, 20-year-old Zahrek Patton has been arrested and charged with murder after a shooting that resulted from an altercation with a victim he knew; Patton is being held on a $1 million bond. The identities of the deceased in both the Grand Prairie shooting and the Fort Wayne incident will be released by the respective medical examiner's offices once next of kin are notified.
